Rutgers supplement essay

Letters of recommendation are not used for admissions consideration. The Rutgers application provides multiple opportunities for applicants to describe their accomplishments, activities, community service, and personal experiences. Students should be certain to complete all sections of the Rutgers application to describe themselves.

Please address one of the following topics or submit an essay on a topic of your choice. Tell a story from your life, describing an experience that either demonstrates your character or helped to shape it. Describe a time you made a meaningful contribution to others in which the greater good was your focus.

Submit an essay on the topic of your choice. The essay is limited to 3800 characters including spaces. A $70 non-refundable application fee is required. (Fee information for the School of Health Professions is here .) Rutgers must receive the fee or a fee waiver before your application will be considered complete and ready for review.

You are a first-year (or freshman) applicant if: You've been enrolled in college but will have completed fewer than 12 academic post-high school graduation college credits by the time you enroll at Rutgers.
